Rebecca McRitchie - Senior Editor and author at Scholastic Australia

Rebecca McRitchie has been editing children's books for over 6 years and is currently a Senior Editor with Scholastic Press. She is also the author of a number of works, including the fiction series Whimsy and Woe, and the trilogy Jinxed! The Curious Curse of Cora Bell.

Yvette Poshoglian - Author

Yvette has always worked with words: as a high school English teacher, a journalist and before that in the world of book publishing. Born and bred in Sydney, Yvette also has a passion for Sydney’s history and wrote My Australian Story: Escape From Cockatoo Island, set in the year 1879 which delves into Sydney’s colonial history. Yvette is well known for her bestselling series, Ella and Olivia, which is a series of books for newly independent readers. She also writes the Ella and Olivia treasury collections, Best Friends Stories and Sisters’ Day Out Stories.

Aura Parker - Author and Illustrator

Aura Parker is a Sydney based writer, illustrator and designer who creates prints, textiles and picture books. Her bodies of work are constantly evolving. Aura often draws on themes of nature, humanity and childhood. Her work is joyful, imaginative and brimming with details to explore. She illustrates her picture books in watercolour, gouache and coloured pencil with digital enhancements. Aura has a background in web design, motion graphics and brand creation with over 15 years’ experience as a graphic designer and illustrator. She is passionate about art, design and children's literature. Twig is Aura’s first picture book as both author and illustrator. Her second picture book Cocoon was published by Scholastic Press earlier this year.
