SPOTLIGHT ON LOCAL AUTHORS & ILLUSTRATORS is our first event on March 4th at Windale Library Hub. Come along and meet your local Hunter Region authors and illustrators. There will be prizes, raffles and book signings available. See the flyer for details. Want to know more about our local creators?

Oceans of Stories
We held our first committee meeting for 2026 at the OCEAN OF STORIES FROM DOWN UNDER exhibition in Newcastle City Library. The exhibition celebrates the wonderful world of picture books and highlights words from two fo our super talented local author/illustrators Sami Bayly and Jenni Goodman as well as illustrations and art by Cindy Lane, Matt Ottley, Tina Wilson and Kim Mischelle Toft. A young fan was thrilled to meet Jenni in person! It was wonderful to hang out with Matt and Tina who also came to see their works on display. Thanks to Carol Edmonds and her team for this fantastic exhibition which runs until March 2026.
