    Claire has been children’s librarian for over 15 years. She shares her passion for quality Australian Children’s literature through long term membership of the Children’s Book Council Australia Central Coast Sub- Branch and as an executive committee member of IBBY Australia. By presenting at several International conferences Claire continues to promote quality Australian Children’s literature.

    Claire co-ordinated & presented the Australian World Through Picture Books List for The International Federation of Library Associations and initiated the popular travelling Jeans Genies project adopted by many international libraries as a Sister Library project. Newly elected to the libraries for Children and Young Adult Section committee she liaises with children’s librarians across the world including the School librarians’ section.

    Working proactively Claire developed and presented many children’s early childhood literacy public library programs. Since 2010 Staff Exchange program she continued a dynamic relationship with Edogawa City in Tokyo where she has also presented library programs for children and adults. Claire sits on the selection committee for Books in Homes.
