Inspired by this year’s CBCA Book Week Theme; Curious Creatures Wild Minds Anna and Emily will focus on the writing tools of curiosity and creativity and how these have transformed ideas … to stories. They will both share examples from their exciting new projects...
New to this event ... A Conversation with Wendy Bannister, CBCA NSW Book of the Year Judge in the Early Childhood category, featuring curiosity and creativity in the 2020 Shortlisted titles.

Meet our Presenters
Emily Rodda is one of Australia's best-known children's book authors. She has written over 100 books, including the internationally best-selling Deltora Quest and Rowan of Rin series, and has won the Children's Book Council of Australia's Book of the Year Award for Younger Readers a record six times.
Anna Fienberg is a storyteller with a special talent for fantasy and things magical. She is the author of many popular and award-winning books for children of all ages and was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her services to literature in 2019.
For the last 16 years Wendy had worked as a Children's Librarian where she combined her love of children, books, reading and libraries as well as providing children’s literacy programs and services for children and families in the local community, laying the foundations for a lifelong love of reading and books. In June 2020 Wendy commenced working as a teacher in Library and Information Studies, Sydney Region, TAFE NSW.
